About

Hi! I’m training to be a psychiatrist. I also love doing personal development. I used to write a lot more than I currently do; this blog is me moving to reverse that.

2-3 years ago I was writing a lot about freedom. My first post here, ‘Freedom Is an Embodied State,’ was written at a point where I was doing a lot of thinking about freedom. I’ve since done all of Art of Accomplishment’s online courses as well as Circling Europe’s SAS facilitator training and some Alexander Technique. Those modalities worked, and now I need much less thinking about what freedom is – I know it at an embodied level. Like Christianity birthing the Enlightenment, my thinking and writing was apparently lucid enough to guide me to a place which diminished the need for thinking and writing.

As great a result as this was, it showed me the truth in Joe Hudson’s statement that transformation can sometimes be a pain in the ass. I had one less thing to draw on when called to explain who I was. In place of the role of seeker there was… nothing. I want to be careful with my words, but perhaps I can consider this blog part of a movement within me to begin putting myself back together. Not that I want to do that too fast, too completely, or too permanently.
